For Indonesian, wedding is a special celebration whether you go 'BIG' or go 'home'. We love throwing big parties for wedding, even for some ethnic group in Indonesia, wedding celebrations could go for a week ! That's how serious we are when it comes to wedding.
Grand Hyatt Jakarta knows it well, that's why on July they held Wedding Fair featuring Indonesian well-known bridal designer, Hian Tjen, Vera Kebaya and Monica Ivena. So that time I was invited by Grand Hyatt for Exclusive Press Dinner Wedding Fair 2017.
The event was host by Ivy Batuta, and we also get to experience how the wedding party looks like in Grand Hyatt.

The 1st course of the night was Trio of Salmon, which is Beetroot Marinated Salmon, Sesame Seared Salmon and Salmon and Avocado Tartar. I love this dish since I am a big fan of Salmon! The three flavors was prepared well, and makes you ready for the next course !

Next one is Chilled Creamy Corn Soup and Sea Urchin. I'm so happy when I see fresh Uni on top! The soup was very light yet creamy at the same time. The 'uni' also gives extra 'umami' to this dish. I'm just not too fond of the lettuce on this dish, maybe some crunch texture would be nice :)
For the palate-cleanser, they served Lemon Grass and Coconut Sorbet. Oh my !! This was too good ! Mine was gone in second.
For the 4th course is Pan Fried Wagyu Beef Fillet, Lobster Medallion, and Foie Gras. The Wagyu definitely the star of this dish since its very tender and aromatic with those Truffle essence.
To end the dinner is Sea Salt Caramel Ganache, Mud Cake Crumbs, White Chocolate Nest, Raspberry Ice Cream. It was a nice balance of sweet and acidity from the Raspberry Ice Cream.
So, if you looking for something 'Grand' for your wedding, I bet Grand Hyatt Jakarta is a place for you.

ReplyDeleteThey catered my wedding last month and they were amazing! Don't overlook this gorgeous venue!! It's something you have to check out in person. My family and friends could not stop talking about how good the food at wedding venues was and how sweet the staff was!
