Locating at Plaza Senayan, Applebee's, a big restaurant chain from America opening their first branch here in Jakarta. Applebee's well known with it's concept of casual dining that serving classic American dishes such as ribs, steak, chicken, salads and so on.
Applebee's was quite spacious with it's bright color decor throughout the room. Well.. I think the interior design could be done much-much better, since nowadays, people also looking for cool design besides the food.
For the starter, we've been served with this Wonton Tacos - IDR 59.000,-. I know it's quite a fusion dish, but actually, it works ! The 'Asian' slaw was light and refreshing and loving the crunch from the fried wontons.
And then, Boneless Wings - IDR 99.000,-. This was tender and nice. The BBQ sauce was sweet and savory. I love how they serve it with some celery and dips! Very American isn't it. haha
Applebee's have variant of salads, which I love! So we opted for this Steakhouse Cobb Salad - IDR 119.000.-. The portion was humongous ! This salad was served with lettuce, corn, beef bacon bits, pico de gallo, avocado, blue cheese, boiled eggs also house sirloin steak with chimichurri ! Loving the combination! Especially when there's a hint of blue cheese in it.
For the main course, Applebee's Beef Rack Ribs with Chipotle BBQ Sauce - IDR 259.000,-. Again, the ribs was huuuuggeee ! Just too bad the ribs was a bit dry, and I barely can't taste the chipotle. But tastewise, it's good enough. This dish was served with french fries and coleslaw.
Next is Cowboy Burger - IDR 139.000,-. The taste of the beef was good but unfortunately it's not juicy enough. But the flavor combo was nice with the beef bacon and cheddar cheese.
For the dessert is this Butter Pecan Blondie - IDR 79.000,-. This was delish ! The warm blondie was serve with sweet maple butter sauce and vanilla ice cream. What makes it nice is the candied nuts!
And for the drinks is this White Wine Sangria, also, in a big portion. Haha... The sangria was tasted light ! Perfect for accompany the meal.

Applebee's is not that highly regarded here in the US. Good for a casual meal but nothing that makes you want to keep coming back.
