I've been heard a good good review about this restaurant before. Honestly, I rarely going around Puri area, so that's why I never visit this place. But an invitation come, so immediately I say yes !
The Fctry interior was a bit industrial. Not that spacious, but good enough.
The lunch started with this Battered Calamari - IDR 65.000,-. The calamari was fluffy, crispy and well cooked ! Simple but nice starter.
Another light bites is this Sticky Fried Chicken Wings - IDR 60.000,-. The chicken was crispy and the dressing was tasted sweet and light.
And then we're invaded with all these food! Be prepare before you read this ! :p First one is Whole Roasted Chicken - IDR 250.000,-. Yep If you order this, it seems like you are having a big feast. The chicken was moist enough, but somehow a bit salty to my palate. The peri-peri sauce was a bit mild to me. Yep.. I like hot peri-peri sauce !
Next is one of my favorite, Breaded Pork Chop with Pomodoro Sauce. The meat was still juicy, and I just love the combo of savory pork meats with sweet tangy tomatoes on top. Nicely done !
Another wow-ing dish is Ms Piggy - IDR 400.000,-. Ow yeah... How could you resist a crispy pork belly ?? It was melts in your mouth! Even though it would be better if they added some more seasoning, but the sauerkraut as the side dish really compliment the juicy pork belly.
Get ready, because next is Tomahawk - IDR 650.000,-. 1kg of Black Angus, people ! To be honest, the meat wasn't the most tender meat I've ever had, it's still had that 'bite' in it, which is still fine to me. I love how simple the seasoning was which is herbs and garlic, so you could appreciate the beef, more.
Spaghetti Al Funghi - IDR 85.000,-. This one also my favorite! Love the creamy taste mixed with earthy mushrooms.
Korean Rice Bowl. This one also delish ! Fresh vegetables also with Gochujang paste, just like the original Bibimbap.
Ox Tongue Don - IDR 80.000,-. Yep this kind of dish is quite popular in Jakarta nowadays. Not complaining, it was good enough and nice with sweet salty flavor.
I can tell that The Fctry also serves decent coffee. Tried their Espresso - IDR 30.000,-. It had full body, sweet chocolate notes. Perfect to close the lunch.
You can tell, I am so full that day! But overall I had a really great time and definitely recommend you to try The Fctry whenever you visit Puri. Thanks Andry & @Rinku.ID for inviting!
