Food Tasting : Tempurawk at Ten Ten

There's a new menu at Ten Ten, which already known as the place for having Tempura dishes. It's Tempurawk ! Haha... I know it's a catchy name isn't it ?

Tempurawk comes with 2 combo menu which is Combo 6 pcs ( IDR 58.000 ) and Combo 12 pcs ( IDR 98.000 ). You can choose from this two and you can pick the item that you want.

Choice of Tempurawk :
Meat : Beef Bacon Kani, Chicken Breast with Beef Bacon, Double Meatball, Smoked Duck with Apple, Wagyu Sausage.
Seafood : Cheesy Salmon, Fish Cake with Egg, Idako, Prawn, Shisamo.
Vegetables : Garlic, Pumpkin, Shitake, Sweet Potato, Crown Daisy.

I personally love the Cheesy Salmon, Smoked Duck with Apple, and the Double Meatball. All fried with crunchy tempura batter !

We also been served with their tendon dishes, that you can choose with the original, blackpepper, seaweed, and so on. I always love their classic tendon. I'm a big fan of their tendon sauce which tasted sweet and savory!

For sweet tooth, you can opted for their Pannacotta and Matcha Parfait !

Bandung : Miss Bee Providore

So couple times ago, I've been visit this new lovely eateries in Bandung with #JKTfoodies. Since I really love this place, I'm coming back again last week, so I will mixed what I have in this one blogpost. Are you ready? 

Miss Bee Providore was located quite up from the central city of Bandung, but it's definitely worth the trip. If you bring your kiddies, this is a perfect place for you! They have spacious outdoor with many big trees and fun activities for your children, such as.... feeding the bunnies! haha...

Miss Bee was quite spacious though, but it's always crowded so you have to queue. They also have big private room, and a small shop that sell home-goods and baked-goods. I love how airy the whole area was, and how they decor it. It was lovely !

For our first visit, we kinda have full tummy that time, so we only tried some of their desserts. First is Coffee Cheese Praline  - IDR 32.500. I kinda like the praline-coating of this cake, because it gives a nice crunch. 

Berry Good - IDR 29.500. This one is a combo of whipped cream, sponge and berry filling. It's not too sweet, but the sponge was quite dry.

Rocher - IDR 29.500. This one is more like chocolate mousse, and the chocolate taste quite strong.

Carrot Cake

The second time visit, I tried some of their savory menu which is, Salmon Spinach Lasagna - IDR 59.500. Too bad this one is a total failure. The salmon was tasted fishy, the sauce lack of flavor.

Cinnamon S'mores Pizza - IDR 54.500. Ok this one is a must try item in Miss Bee ! The dough was quite thin, the topping was consist of chocolate, cookies and marshmallow, couldn't go wrong with that huh!

Woodpecker Coffee

Say hello to the newest coffee shop in town, Woodpecker! Just found out that they're still in one group with Common House ? Well.. no wonder if you gonna fall in love with their space. Located in the street of Panglima Polim, you will easily find this coffee shop among 'well-known' restaurants along this road.

Even though not that quite spacious, the space was quite functional. I just love their design. The vibe was quite ..... Scandinavian? 

They use the house blend from Morph Coffee here. They haven't had extensive menu since they're just open. So it's just coffee and waffle, for now. Anyway, I opted for some Piccolo that time. I love how they served it with a small bottle of infused water. The coffee was good, but a bit too milky in my opinion. 

A friend of mine opted for some Cappuccino. Love their cup!

Would be back next time !

London : Lily Vanilli's Bakery

One thing that I regret the most when I'm having my recent trip to UK is, I didn't have much time for 'research'. It was the most hectic days in my life, and I just had no time to google everything, like 'the most' or 'the best' that I have to visit, especially while I'm in London. 

London is ..... huge. There's always something new everyday, and even I have spent 2 weeks there, it's just seems like never enough. Now I'm back to Jakarta and every time I've seen London in TV or articles, I was like..... 'why I didn't visit that!!!'. Oh well... It's fine. At least I have another reason to visit London again someday :D

Well thanks again to my foodie Switz friend, Nathalie, She take me to this lovely bakery at East London, that only open every Sunday. And yes, I loveeeeee it! This bakery is tucked away between vintage shops, and it's crowded!

I just realized that I've seen this book before in Selfridges or somewhere ! Now I know that the writer, Lily Jones, also the owner of this place. It's a big plus right since I also love the book!

 

Even though the bakery was petite, but I really love their shabby chic decor. So cute right!

We came for breakfast, and I'm kind of hungry so I opted for their Sausage Roll first. It was a very good choice. This sausage roll was one of a kind! I really love how the crust is quite thin and it's super crispy! The sausage taste amazing with the saltiness kick of bacon ( or ham? )  that wrapped around it. And you also can taste the herbs as well. Yum!

For the cake I opted for Blood Orange and Lavender Friand. The sponge was quite light and fluffy, not too sweet, but... I love if the flavor are more strong, since I only can taste a hint of the orange. But seriously, I love the presentation with the flowers and glitters on top. What kind of girls that didn't love that!

This is the one that my friend ordered, but sorry I forgot what flavor is this :p ( but still lovely to see right! )

As you can see, the design of their cake is very chic without trying too hard. No need something fancy like gel-coating or chocolate works, with simple ingredients you still can make a beautiful and wowsome cake!

This place is definitely a must-visit when you're in London! Go there for breakfast, then visit the lovely flower market after! :)
