Cambodia : Strolling down Kep Beach

Back to my stories in Cambodia! So sorry for not posting much about my last trip there, the reason is... I don't think my photos are good enough. Lols. Don't judge me! I'm a very visual person and it's truly matters to me ;D The other reason is, I think it's a bit risky for me to bring two lens while traveling, so yeah.. I'm stuck with the standard kit lens.

After some trip to beautiful Kampot and Bokor Mountain, we're decided to visit Kep province, before heading back to Phnom Penh. We spend some time at the Kep Beach, and having lunch there. Been heard that they had decent seafood, so yeah I'm pretty excited.
Amazingly beautiful Kampot and Mount Bokor
Kep beach, wasn't that exciting in my opinion. Very quite and the water wasn't clear. But if you prefer to chill and relax, I bet you gonna like it ;)

There's many food stall  along the way, and we didn't know which one the good one, so we just chose randomly.

Our pick! :D

Pickles anyone?

So that time we order some boiled shrimps. Nothing beats fresh boiled shrimps! Fresh and sweet. Yum!

Grilled Squids. Not like Indonesian, I don't think they put some seasoning on it. Taste just like it is! A bit chewy though, but still addictive :p

Some Grilled Fish that I don't know what kind of fish it is :p

and some Fish Soup. It looks like a very clear soup right? But it taste quite sour. The interesting things on Cambodia is, they also had 'Tom Yum' on their food, but it's actually looks and taste differently compared to the Thai one. You should try ! :D

Restaurant Review : YEYO Lobby and Eatery

The same day when I ate at Loobie Lobster, me and several food bloggers friends ( Umi, Selba, Cindy & Imel ) decided to had lunch at this new restaurant at Jalan Senopati. Just as Julia Child says, "People who love to eat are always the best people", you can tell that we're having a good time.

Atmosphere :
Actually I really like their interior. It's spacious and bringing a new vibe of retro.

Price :
Around IDR 100.000 - 150.000 / person.

Food :
Started with Umi's food, she chose Red Salad - IDR 39.000 for a lighter option :p This was a tuna salad in watermelon 'castle' served with fusion mayonnaise, pomelo &sun flower seeds. It was beautifully presented! The dressing had a strong balsamic flavor in it. Pretty enjoyable!

For me, I was starving so I chose some carbo lunch :p Smoked Pesto Tagliatelle - IDR 65.000. From the color, I know this couldn't taste good. A good pesto pasta must have an abundant sauce with strong herbs and good olive oil in it. And this, failed. Dry, and there's no any herbs flavor in it, but the smoked beef was a good quality one though.

For Selba, she chose Roasted Chicken - IDR 65.000. A roasted chicken with thyme&rosemary, served with potato wedges and salad. This was pretty so -so.

For Cindy, she chose Herb Butter Chicken - IDR 55.000. And you know what, the chicken was tasted the same as Selba's has.

For Imel, she chose Wagyu Mexican Taco - IDR 55.000.

And the drinks,

Ice Cafe Latte - IDR 35.000,-

Ice Lychee Tea - IDR 35.000

Starbucks Media Gathering : Asian Dolce Latte

About a week ago, I was invited by Starbucks Indonesia for another drink and food tasting. Taking place at the newest Starbucks store at 1Park Residence, you can tell they're really growing fast.

That new interesting drink are, Asian Dolce Latte. Only available around Asia Pacific area, this drink gets an inspiration from how mostly Asian people enjoy their coffee. From my last trip to Vietnam and Cambodia, I kinda' see the similarity between them and Indonesian people to have their coffee. Strong and Bold coffee mixed with generous amount of condensed milk. Familiar? :D
Inspired by that, Asian Dolce Latte consist of Double Shot of Dark Roasted Starbucks Espresso Roast ( ow yeah ! ), Dolce sauce and espresso whipped cream. If you like a bolder version of regular cafe latte, this one is the best option.

You can enjoy it with ice too. But me, I like the hot version more ( Some like it hot, isn't it ? ;p )

For the food, we also tried Sumatra Eclair. This a puff pastry filled with a chocolate truffle and a hint of Sumatra coffee. Perfect for a sweet tooth.

Sumatra Mousse, A mousse cake in layers of chocolate with a hint of Sumatra coffee and cream cheese.

Cheese puff. This one is really addictive!

Half Double Decker Sandwich. A perfect pair to your morning coffee :D

Restaurant Review : Loobie Lobster

Social Media does have a power for someone's business. If you know about Holycow! Steakhouse, you'll definitely know their success story. Starting from twitter, now everybody has talked about it. Now they're opening a same concept of business, but just another type of food, Seafood! Yes it's Loobie Lobster !

Atmosphere
I tell ya, the place is very ..... cramped. Only serves for 20 people and that's about 5 tables. You better come early or you'll stuck in the line.
Join the line ? :p

Price
Around IDR 100.000/ person.

Food
So in here, they only serves two kinds of food, Lobster or Shrimp, and both are serves with fried calamari. Whole Lobster Platter - IDR 95.000,-
The lobster comes in medium size, perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. I know it's quite tricky to cooked a lobster because they easily get overcooked, but this one, it's just perfect. Tasted fresh and bit sweet but the meat wasn't that much tho ( we want more! ;p ) The fried calamari was pretty enjoyable too.

Whole Big Shrimp platter - IDR 85.000,-. It seems the shrimps are more bigger than the lobster. haha... This one also perfectly cooked and the seasoning, just right. For me, I prefer the shrimp than the lobster :D

They had Spicy Garlic and Sambal Matah for the sauces. Both of it was pretty enjoyable. The highlight definitely the Sambal Matah, which tasted just like dabu -dabu.

For the drinks, different than Holycow! Steakhouse, they're not serve any all-you-can-drink, but the glass comes in super big size.
Ice Milo - IDR 16.000,-
